It is a new dawn for the Gentleman this spring. Remember your days as a child running the grounds in your proper Sunday clothes? By days end, the garments would be distressed and wrinkled leaving your mother shouting your name in full telling you to stand still with your hands by your side...maybe that was just me.

The deconstructed and unlined tailored sport coat is your go-to garment of the season and like your childhood, it is time to embrace wrinkles the way you would your socks. Here are some tips in selecting your jacket.

It comes down to texture. Select a piece with a fabric that carries an interesting pattern and/or weave. Fabrics will be of silk, linen - cotton blends and washed for a soft feel.
A course texture will mask dirt and creases leaving you with a look that has just the right amount of rumpled.
The casual blazer styles this season will be of soft faded colors thus feel free to mix up your colors top and bottom. It's liberating.
Lastly and most importantly, the casual blazer should be of a cloth that moves. FIT is everything and should have some give.
