Regardless of the economy going stagnant, men are spending more on fashion than ever before. Per a study in late 2011 by Bain and Co.'s luxury-goods division, men outspent women in fashion. As I've mentioned before, this is what inspired me to create VoKARE. Fashion has the ability to evoke a certain feeling and confidence.
It is just my opinion that men today are increasingly motivated than ever before, due to the economy, to be more well-dressed. Perhaps we are searching for happiness, to be fulfilled and that fashion is the answer. One thing is very clear, this is not about style trends or labels, this is about investing in quality and in themselves. Men want to own something of value, which in turn gives them satisfaction and confidence. This is how men shop.
That being said, less is certainly more. It's about simplicity and a grown-up approach to fashion while keeping the edgy personality that makes a masculine statement.
Here are some key investments to the men's wardrobe and notable color palette: Shades of Brown, Green, Grey, Blue, and Black. I would also suggest adding in a pop color of Rhubarb.
